A major part of the news content production is video production. Many news agencies have a video department that produces short news clips, feature stories, and other videos. This helps news agencies disseminate information quickly to a larger audience. Some news agencies have video departments that specialize in news footage and documentary-style reports. News footage can be used in a variety of ways, including news reporting, in news broadcasts on local stations and on television, or as part of the background music in a film or television program.
